Wash and Go!
Located as we are in rural Norfolk, we are surrounded by working farms (more than 39,000 people in East Anglia work in farming) in need of bespoke equipment to deal with their produce. It’s always a pleasure to work on these projects, providing equipment to suit individual needs.
We recently constructed a large water tank and conveyor frame, creating a system to wash leeks, as requested by a local farmer. Leeks are part of the Allium family that includes onions and garlic, are grown from seed and are normally harvested in the autumn – they’re a great addition to warming soups and stews. By introducing this leek washing system, handling of the leek harvest will become more efficient and streamlined.
